As I reflect on my first year as chair of the NAPEO Board of Directors, I’m proud of the meaningful progress we’ve made to ensure NAPEO is positioned to serve our industry well for years to come.
Serving as chair has given me an even greater appreciation for the strength of this association. NAPEO’s success is rooted in the engagement of its members: the volunteers who serve on committees and task forces, the leaders who share their expertise, the companies that invest in our events and programs and the members who advocate on behalf of the PEO industry.
Over the past year, the board has remained focused on strengthening the association’s foundation. I’ve worked closely with NAPEO President and CEO Casey Clark to assess where we are making progress, where we need to adapt and how we can continue delivering meaningful value to members.
We have also continued to build momentum on our strategic plan pillars. From strengthening relationships with policymakers to providing relevant education and creating opportunities for members to learn from one another, we are ensuring that the PEO industry is stronger than ever.
None of this progress happens without strong leadership. I would like to recognize and thank the board members whose terms are concluding: Joe Beers, Erica Brune, Monica Denler, Hank Johnson, Wendy Katz, Britt Landrum, III, Andrea McHenry and John Polson. We are grateful for their time and dedication. Their service has helped move NAPEO forward, and I hope you will join me in thanking them for their contributions.
We will also welcome a new group of board members, each of whom brings valuable experience, a fresh perspective and a commitment to serving our association. I look forward to working with them as they begin their board service.
As I begin my second year as chair, I am energized by what lies ahead. We have made important progress, but there is more work to do. I look forward to building on the foundation we have established and continuing to strengthen NAPEO’s ability to support and grow this remarkable industry.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve. I look forward to seeing many of you in Marco Island!
